In Month of the Military Child 2026 we are celebrating our military children.

We are sending out this resource pack to schools to help them support and CELEBRATE their Naval children and young people.

Why Naval children need to be understood and celebrated.

Service life can be tough on children. Long separations. Missed moments. Frequent home moves. Making new friends only to say goodbye again. Life is often shaped by uncertainty, and these challenges can have both short and lasting impacts on confidence, wellbeing, happiness and opportunities.

At the Naval Children’s Charity, our vision is that the children of serving and veterans Royal Navy and Royal Marines families has their spirit and talent unlocked, giving them a brighter future and helping them to realise their full potential.

Military children face many challenges and unique experiences because of their parents’ service. It’s easy to forget the challenges faced by the children of military families and some of those children are members of your school community.

Competition time!!

Print the double-sided paper boat template inspired by the NCC logo, then cut out, build and decorate your boat. The best-decorated boat wins a prize.
