Dates: These are term time evening or Saturdays workshops (dependent on the workshop) across Autumn, Winter, Spring term time 2026-2027.
Places available: 22 across all the workshops.
Fully funded: Cost of the workshops is fully funded. Â
Location: All Young Company sessions take place either in the TR2 building in Cattedown or at The Lab in the theatre.

This is a new Life Changing, Life Chances opportunity with the Theatre Royal Plymouth – Young Company. In partnership we are offering term-time opportunities for young people who want to learn or develop their performance skills by joining the Theatres Young Company. Workshops available are Performance, Singing, Dance, Backstage and Create which are workshops for young people aged 11+ with disabilities.
Please read the information on the Theatre’s website about the workshop you are interested in to ensure it is right for your young person – please check the age range.

Places are very limited, so we do apply a form of means testing but this is not solely reliant on income.
You must indicate which workshop you would like on the form.

Create is designed especially for young people with disabilities who feel they would benefit from additional support.
If you are new to create, you are welcome to email the team to discuss the sessions and organise the support your young person needs in the space. Please apply whilst doing this so we have your young person on our list.
